Title: Embarking on a New Journey: Reshaping Our Relationship with Tech

Hello, I'm Manuel Pueyo, founder of BigKids, a brand new company in the making, driven by values like playfulness, curiosity, a healthier interdependence between humans and tech, open source, and strategic autonomy.

As we venture forth on this journey, I want to share with you where we currently stand and the direction we are heading.

Guiding Organizations towards Tech Autonomy

At Big Kids, our mission is to empower organizations by giving them control over their IT tools and systems but it doesn’t end there. We believe that real empowerment comes from comprehension. So, our solutions are twofold - we provide open-source, modifiable IT tools along with comprehensive training on their usage.

By fostering a culture of tech care, we aim to liberate organizations, giving them not just the tools, but also the understanding of how these systems work. The goal is to enable organizations to adapt and evolve their tech stack in line with their growth and transformations.

Our services revolve around:

IT Tools and Systems - Reclaim Your Setup

We aim to provide complete autonomy over your IT setup. We build technologies and infrastructures designed to run apps on your servers, providing a robust alternative to corporate clouds. Our focus is to ensure these critical systems are under your control, serving your organization's goals and values rather than external interests.

Seeking Collaboration to Drive Our Research Forward

As we pave the way forward, our current focus is exploration and research. We're interested in understanding the needs, challenges, and practices of organizations across various sectors - not just health firms - regarding ethical IT, data sovereignty, privacy, and sustainability.

Our search is for the companies who see an intimate connection between the tech tools they use and their environmental/social impact, their capacity to innovate, and their ability to liberate from the confines of traditional tech contracts.

To this effect, we're inviting volunteers for qualitative research interviews, particularly those in IT departments, Innovation departments, and Product Management roles. Book a call with me – your insights will be greatly valuable on this exciting journey towards tech resilience.

Until next time,

Manuel Pueyo.
